The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the purchase of goods from www.winstonwilds.com
By placing an order you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions as governing your order. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We further reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any such modification shall be effective immediately upon posting the amended terms and conditions on the Winston Wilds website (www.Winstonwilds.com). Accordingly, your continued access or use of the Winston Wilds website is deemed to be your acceptance of the modified terms and conditions.
Making a purchase
Making a purchase from Winston Wilds could not be easier. Browse our online store from the comfort of your home, 24/7. Add any items that you want to buy into the shopping cart. Review and update your shopping at any time prior to checkout by clicking upon the basket button. Once you are happy with your purchases within your shopping cart, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your order.
The purchase of goods from this site is subject to availability; unfortunately it is not always possible for us to inform you at the time of your purchase whether the goods you want are available for purchase. In the unlikely case that any product you have ordered is not available, we will always try to offer a substitute of equal or greater value and quality of the original item. If you are not entirely happy with the substitute product please don’t hesitate to return the product, we want you to be entirely happy with your purchase.
We accept most debit and credit cards through our on-line secure payment terminal but if you prefer we continue to accept orders by telephone and mail. Telephone lines are open from 9am to 5.30pm if you prefer to order by phone. We will charge your credit or debit card when the order is received. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice (Via email). We have included this term to protect us in the case of orders placed from beyond our delivery zones or a mistake has been made in pricing, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason.
As part of our policy of continuous product development, all products, specifications and prices may be subject to change without notice. When you submit your order online you are allowing Winston Wilds Ltd to use your personal details to full fill your order. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first via phone, email or post to ensure that the price is acceptable before finalising the order and shipping.
Products which are out of stock and put onto back order with permission from you the customer will not be charged until the items are ready to ship. Once items have arrived in stock you will be notified via telephone or email that the items are in stock, you will then be given an expected delivery date and tracking number.
The Team here at Winston Wilds strive for perfection in both our service and products. Winston Wilds therefore offer a no-quibble return policy. Should you be less than delighted with any item you buy from us for any reason, please don’t hesitate to let us know within 30 days of delivery via phone, email or post, we will be pleased to offer you a replacement or a full refund ( Returning shipping costs are paid by buyer). Refunds will be carried out via the same means to which you had purchased the goods.
Prices shown on our website product pages are applicable for mainland U.K. only and are inclusive of VAT at current applicable rate.
Return / Refund policy
If you wish to return an item please contact us via telephone or email. You will need to wrap the package securely and send it complete with all original packaging and instructions to Winston Wilds Ltd (Return), Unit 20-21, Furnace Industrial Estate, Byerley Road, Shildon, County Durham, DL4 1QB, enclosing your contact details and the reason for the return. In this occasion we will offer a full refund (excluding the cost of shipping) Buyer is responsible for the returning shipping costs.
In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault. In this case a full refund will be given (including the cost of shipping). We ask for a description of the fault so that we can understand, learn and improve the product so that the fault does not occur once more. Your statutory rights are not affected.
For refunds, please allow for 30 days from the time we receive the items back at Winston Wilds Head Office.
Cancelling an item
Under the United Kingdom Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within 7 working days, beginning the day after the delivery date. If you decide to cancel, please call us and return the goods to us unopened and in their original condition. This applies to all our products. However we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for items where the packaging has been opened.
To cancel your contract, return the item (Buyer pays returning shipping costs) to us with the delivery note and a note confirming that you wish to cancel, and stating your contact details and customer number. Am I safe to order online?
Winston Wilds take your safety and security online seriously; we want you to feel comfortable using your credit card to purchase goods from us on our site.
Our site uses secure 128/256 bit servers, an industry standard. At the payment stage of your transaction our site uses PayPal’s secure 128 bit encryption, ensuring your card details are secure.
Our site also uses 3-D Secure™ a protocol which was developed by Visa to improve the security of Internet payments. This protocol is offered with the service name Verified by Visa. MasterCard has also adapted a similar protocol called MasterCard SecureCode. Both are designed to allow authentication of cardholders by their Issuers at participating merchants. The objective is to benefit all participants by providing Issuers the ability to fully authenticate cardholders through the use of a password during Internet purchases, reducing the likelihood of fraudulent usage of Visa and MasterCard credit cards and improving overall transaction performance
If you wish, you may also send us a personal cheque to pay for your order. Personal cheques will delay your order s we must wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise. Please allow additional 7-10 business days for shipping.

We do not store any financial information or credit card details relating to our customers purchases on file either electronically or in hard copy
Privacy and electronic communications Act

What happens if a price changes?
Goods are charged at price shown on the product pages on the date the customer places the order, prices shown via the product pages are inclusive of VAT. Prices are correct at time of publication. Errors and omissions are expected. Orders will be processed at our published prices; otherwise, in the case of any unexpected changes in price, we will inform you and ask if you wish to reconsider your order before processing and shipping.
UK Mainland Delivery
Orders are dispatched very promptly and usually take 3-5 working days (Subject to stock availability) Your order its checked vigorously throughout packing and with the majority of our bird feed and suet products been made on our premises daily, your sure to receive the freshest possible wild bird food.
Winston Wilds offer FREE delivery to local residents within the DL postcode area. Subject to a minimum spend of £15.00.
£5.95 on all orders below 19kg
£6.85 on all heavy items, per 20kg parcel.

PLEASE NOTE: During exceptional circumstances or weather conditions both standard and guaranteed delivery services may be suspended and in this case no late delivery claim will be entered into.
Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) 8am - 5pm.
All orders are normally despatched within 24 hours of order confirmation. Orders for the next working day must be on our system by 11am on the day of despatch (next working day delivery is available Monday – Friday.
You will be shown a list of available delivery options and prices during the checkout process. All orders placed after the cut-off time of 3pm on Friday and over the weekend will be despatched on Monday. If Monday is a bank holiday this would then be Tuesday.
Upon your order being despatched you will then be emailed a tracking number so you are aware that your goods are on there way to you.
To get the best possible delivery deal for you the customer, we use a combination of different courier and postal companies including, Yodel, City Link, TNT and the Royal mail.
All claims for shortages and / or non- delivery must be made by telephone within 48 hours of receipt and then in writing within 7 days, otherwise claims cannot be entered into. We will do our upmost to resolve any such situations speedily, efficiently and amicably.
Delivery to certain areas incur additional (to the U.K. Mainland charge) dispatch costs. Please see below for further details.

Scottish Islands will incur a £16.99 delivery charge per parcel up to a maximum weight of 25kg (Unfortunately next day delivery is not available.) (approx 3-5 working days)

Unfortunately we do not ship our products outside the U.K. at this present time but we are working hard towards offering this service in the near future, we do apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
